It's not just books under fire-but also long-beloved librarians/staff defending them. They're vilified, reported to police, threatened--& quitting in droves, forcing short-staffed libraries to cut hours and services-raising human, civic, &financial costs

A belated happy #FathersDay to all who are celebrating or remembering. I’m thinking of mine, 2 yrs after we lost him, and 40 years after he celebrated his youngest kid’s HS graduation. My husband and I spent this #FathersDay2023 celebrating our youngest’s graduation. 💕

Mourning @KenBarcus-colleague &friend for ~30yrs; a tough editor but also total softie, mensch & mentor-whether pressing me (&others) for better writing &better radio, or teaching my kid to up his poker game, &of course pushing him to go all-in! RIP Ken.
