Always try to work in a safety relief valve in your gas flow systems. This inexpensive part saved me from some serious instrument damage while setting up my CH4/N2 flow system

Today I decided to use a Jetson Orin Nano (more on why later) and a Python script to control and acquire data. I was able to do it all from the command line!

I’m working on generating a 1 million-scan laser-sensor dataset to train a machine learning model for real-time gas sensing. Initially I thought about using LabView to control and read from the mass flow controllers. I spent 4 hours connecting the wrong VIs to each other haha

Working in LabVIEW this week. Trying to automate the data acquisition of methane in nitrogen over a wide concentration range, 1 to 10,000 ppm (1%), with the purpose of building a machine learning training dataset for a new approach to methane sensing

Even a 1-2 degree change in ambient temperature can result in a spectral shift in spectrometer measurements. In this Sensor paper, they show how to correct for spectral shift using an artificial neural network Click below for 2 min summary https://t.co/dIwzwRcjx1

I wanted my high-quality/low-cost global team to have easy access to ChatGPT within a tool they already use - Slack. So I built a Zap, that integrates a Slack channel to talk with ChatGPT. Works like a charm. RT and comment "Send," and I'll give you the Zap template.

A 100 μm x 100 μm x 100 μm FTIR spectrometer! There are some caveats of course but I can see how these miniature FTIR spectrometers will massively improve spectral imaging cameras. https://t.co/DH8f78YO7T

I'm no frequency comb expert so took me a while to read through this. Researchers conclude a 12 parts per trillion detection limit. I certainly would love to learn more about the electro-optic sampling method they use in the study, never used it before https://t.co/DlPh7fJP9S

I get the sense that us business owners are being pressured to provide a work-life balance. Especially given the lingering pandemic stressors. @Codie_Sanchez I find your candidness around seeking out hungry operators refreshing! We shouldn’t be settling for 9-5ers.

Most people suck at finding operators. But top-tier talent can make you millions. Here's a simple framework I've used to find more "10x hires" for my businesses:

Recent nature electronics UCSD paper demonstrates sweat sensor with a printed battery and real-time display that can measure sodium, pH, glucose, or lactate. Making measurements every 30 seconds, the battery lasts up to 120 hours (5 days) https://t.co/DpgclV3CTC

Air quality data was collected in Delhi, India using a combination of low-cost (Kaiterra) sensors and existing government sensors over 2 years. Using a neural network-based mode researchers were able to predict next-day pollution levels to within 10% https://t.co/0P8Lt9BFEF
