Tookie products will reduce the risk of repeated visits to hospital and maintain shielding of vulnerable patients. We do not want to see lines fallout out/being pulled out and for patients to revisit a hospital unnecessarily - especially when this can now be avoided 🙌

“I have been wearing Tookie Nephrostomy Shorts, comfortable, they meet the needs of nephrostomy patients & the drainage bags are held securely. Most of the time I am not aware I am wearing them & can now wear my shirt inside of my trousers, thus, looking and feeling normal.” 😊

https://t.co/4pmtrCRtPo “When I left hospital after a double nephrostomy, I was using a tape around my waist (hospital supplied) to suspend the drainage bags - not ideal as when the bags filled up, tension on the tape caused soreness”

Carole Hallam, MSc (Infection Control), BSc (Professional Practice in Nursing), RN “Families fear the dislodgment of the devices in both children & adults that will nearly always result in interruption of vital treatment & a visit to hospital for re-insertion of the devices.”

"My child has a central line that can become easily contaminated, if this happens, then it could potentially cause my child to have life threatening sepsis. The Tookie vest has given me peace of mind that it is tucked away securely, to minimalise the risk of becoming infected."
