Is anybody else as disgusted as I am at Rishi Sunak, one of the richest men in the country, punching down on some of the most vulnerable people in the country?
Good luck today to mighty

I hated Cameron. I hated May and her wheat fields, but when did England become so dysfunctional that we have Johnson as a leader? Really, what happened?
With all the stuff going on in the UK and the world, I don't understand why the BBC's major story is about whether a bloke from Serbia is allowed to play tennis in Australia!
I quite liked the state looking after me. They gave me milk, vaccinations against deadly illnesses, they paid for my education, provided libraries where I could read stuff, and gave me a maintainance grant when I went to uni and paid my fees. This is why I vote Labour!
Are we the only country in the world who are willing our national team to win, but, at the same time, fearing the nationalistic, xenophobic backlash if they do?
I was a schoolteacher. I know how hard a job it could be. I think it has probably got harder over the last 20 years. Really tired of seeing teachers criticised by people who really have no idea how demanding a job it can be.
Why do so many people hate Starmer? Is it the tone? Substance? Strategy? Just get behind him and try, if you are in Labour, to shape policy. Fuck, we are against a proto fascist government. No time to fuck around, really!
I can't remember asylum seekers on rubber dinghies being an issue until Farage publicised it. Says much about the BBC that they let Farage drive their news agenda.
I'm no expert on parliamentary rules and procedures, but isn't the speaker under some obligation to actually get the PM to answer the questions he is asked.

Nigel Farage supporters are amongst the most charming, educated and sensitive people I have ever met. I am impressed by their well-honed arguments, their fidelity to empirical evidence and their acute self-awareness. Their level of compassion is astonishing.
Idiot on Ch 4 says Johnson is a buffoon but a lovable buffoon. Another one says that he is a great speaker and leader. FFS. What is wrong with my people?
I don't believe Blair should have a gong. I don't believe anybody should. But the hard left have an unhealthy fetish about Blair. It's a kind of meaningless obsession, and weaponized against Starmer. It's almost as if they don't like Labour winning elections
It's got to the stage where I I can't listen to Johnson speaking without a feeling of nausea creeping through my whole body. I think this might be a psychological condition :-(
Caroline Flint is dreadful and being made to look foolish on CH 4. I think she is deeply ignorant about the consequences of Brexit. She makes the strongest case for deselection that I can think of.
"Even one independent MP can be an awful nuisance in parliament, times that by 12 and you've got 12 awful nuisances."
@JeremyCorbyn
gives his take on Keir Starmer's suspension of the MPs who backed the two-child benefit cap amendment.
This might be a tricky one but given his last statement on care homes I would be struggling: is there a more detestable human being in the UK than Boris Johnson?
I have received a new Corbynista insult. I'm middle-class because I support Starmer. Funny that for a lad brought up by a widowed mother on a Durham council estate! Obviously not working-class like Jeremy and Seamus!
Boris Johnson seems to find lots of things extraordinary. The thing I find most extraordinary is that so many people in this country voted for such a corrupt, incompetent buffoon!
We had this man as PM. Flawed in some ways, I'm sure, but 5 shit Tory PMs later we have Rishi Sunak, we left Europe, and the country is fucked. What on earth happened?
I always thought Gary Lineker was a decent bloke. Used to buy fruit from his dad's stall in Leicester. My conclusion is that Toffs don't like ordinary folks having a different opinion and getting above themselves!

I'm not going to say anything against a man who has just died, but will be turning the BBC off for a few days. Really won't be able to stand the sycophancy of the royal commentators!
Whether you are Labour, Green, Liberal Democrat, SNP, PC etc. all efforts should be to defeat the Tories. Only coordinated and collective action will see the back of them. Whatever it takes.
I know Starmer does not want to frighten the horses, but at some stage, he's going to have to say he will tax the obscenely wealthy, and stop people from making huge profits from our public services. I think the country would be with him.
I've been back in England for the last few weeks. I'm curious to know if other people in a similar situation feel the same as I do. England looks, to me, as if it's in steady decline. Perhaps it depends where you are but that is the general sense I have.
I would like this to be my last comment ever about Jeremy Corbyn. He made the Labour Party toxic, he gifted a huge majority to the Tories. He failed. So why doesn't he, one year one, just have the decency to fuck off!
To all those who got poor 'A' level results. So did I. In my school they only let me take CSEs. Ask you mam or dad about them. Later I got a BA, a PGCE, a Masters and a PhD. Don't give up. Just keep going. If I could do it, so can you.
I have to say with liberal use of the block button Twitter becomes a much better place. I wish a happy Xmas to all those who have educated me, made me laugh, and generally kept me entertained in this bleak year. I wish you all the best. Cheers🍺
Strange that CNN has become the go to station to find out what is going on in the States, and that there is the feeling that you can't trust the BBC anymore. That is very sad really.
I can't remember much been said about asylum seekers on dinghies until Farage started publicising it. Says much about BBC and Sky that they let Farage drive their news agenda!
Piers Morgan's journalistic credibility is like a game of snakes and ladders. Advocating gun control one ladder up, supporting Trump a long snake down, criticising govt on Covid, big ladder up then slides down a snake with irrational hatred of Megan M.

It seems clear that we are entering a stage of facism. We need to think about how to oppose it. We can all complain about it but how do leftists and liberals actually effectively oppose it? It seems to me that tweeting outrage is not sufficient. Answers on a post card please
I've decided to mute all racists, fascists, flagshaggers, anti-Vax people etc. I wouldn't put up with listening to them in "real life". Why should I tolerate them here?
