I am a passionate supporter of #Diversity. The gender balance of the Aperture handling editors is multifactorial. There was an even distribution in those we targeted, more women said no, those responding to posts were male, and we didn't wait to achieve balance...we can add more!

@fmrib_karla @fmrib_steve @OHBM I’d be curious to find out how this came to be as I know @tonyajhwhite is a passionate supporter of #Diversity and #inclusion. Perhaps this reflects who expressed interest in joining after an OPEN call than a top-down commission (and they didn’t wait until achieving balance)?

Narum (2006) offers a more sensitive FDR method & it is increasingly cited in medicine & neuroscience, but a simple error means the method doesn't control FDR or any particular false positive measure https://t.co/jdCPW26W9e w/ Tonya White & Jan van der Ende
