Just a random example of why you really shouldn't want to use certain plugins. Anything above 500ms is really bad for performance, but you really want to be much much lower. So, three bad ones like this equals a bad performing WordPress site.

‘We can’t use that CSS, it’s not safe.’ .. ?? Mate , it’s a style rule, not a chainsaw. You’re not cautious — you’re just boring with a helmet on. #css #progressive #enhancement

Still childish bs from wp leadership.. What's next? Arbitrary made-up tariffs? 😏 https://t.co/DZlnqqITyr

Joost de Valk and Progress Planner got banned from WordPress, and that's a big deal. And we shouldn’t allow ourselves to normalize it.

Yesterday I helped a friend with their startup's single server going down after an update. Turned out the contractor's AI generated code loads over 12k records from the database and presents them in JSON responses (on every request). The pool of bad software contractors is
We're about to have a crazy amount of AI written vulnerable software out there, and it's going to be a mess. What a time to get into software security.

Psst, you no longer need JavaScript to create an exclusive accordion! As of Chrome 120 you can give <details> elements a `name` value. Just like radio buttons, those with the same name will form a group, of which only one can be chosen at the same time. https://t.co/E9kctdpwBQ

@Pinterest Soon I'll be spending more time in their "community center" fighting the claims than on the actual website... 🤦🤦🤦

It seems @Pinterest is becoming completely unhinged. They show me pins, and when I re-pin them I get a strike that I violate their community guidelines. I guess some AI checking thing that gets completely overboard.. Learn how to draw they said, it'll be fun they said..

Not me cursing for too long and changing every bit I could find to make the API request work, to eventually see header: {} instead of headers: {}

Sort of visual "programming" like Scratch ( @statelyai does something similar). So not only drawing diagrams but actually changing values and seeing where it leads to up in the chain based on parameters and formula's.

Is there a (JS) library that lets you do this in a custom way? Here a 3 value piece that turns into a HSL value. You'd be able to add a 4th with an alpha value, change the formula and have a HSLA output. What I'm interested in is the drawing of blocks and connectors.
