 We’ve been fans of Romy since the early days of The xx, and her solo work inspires the same feelings of euphoria.

So, Catherine stars with Niamh Algar in this new animation which premieres next Sunday at Foyle Film Festival - one of Ireland’s very few BAFTA and Oscar accredited festivals. It is produced by Brian J Falconer who produced Derry Girls and directed by BAFTA nominated Kris Kelly.

Everyone in our family is quite proud of this. An Cailín Ciúin @quietgirlfilm starring my daughter #catherineclinch has been voted the Best Irish Film of All Time by an industry jury. How do you follow that debut? She will give it a try and more on that later today.

What a privilege to hear the Schumann Quartet at the Wigmore Hall Festival in the new RIAM Whyte Recital Hall tonight. World class musicians in a world class chamber music venue in the heart of Dublin. Our guests also had the great pleasure of meeting the musicians afterwards.

Just saw the @DruidTheatre O’Casey Trilogy at @AbbeyTheatre. What a magnificent production. @amyrowancasting assembled an outstanding cast & @garryhynes created a powerful work of art. The tragicomedy made me reflect on the messy business of forging a national identity. Thank you
