Happy 250th birthday to U.S. Marine Corps. Iowa Army National Guard’s 224th Engineer Battalion proudly served with 1st then 2nd Marine Divisions @USMC in Anbar Province, Iraq in 2005. Then LtCol now Commandant Eric Smith commanded 1st Bn 5th Marines at that time!🫡🇺🇸#IowaVeterans
Before we formed a Nation, we formed a Corps of Marines. For 250 years @USMC has fought & won our country’s battles in every clime & place. Our legacy & warrior ethos have been forged in combat & passed down through generations. We are the few, the proud. Happy Birthday, Marines!
