Most days I enjoy teaching but today was very special. Former student and Fox Chapel senior @Blake_Krusher stopped by my building after he signed his letter of intent to play baseball at West Virginia University. Thank you Krusher for making my day! Can’t wait to see what you do!

Liam and his 15U DC Diamonds teammates (Indiana, PA) do it again! Great team effort in 90+ degree heat. @ashbaughliam caught every inning this weekend and put on a receiving and blocking clinic. Proud of this crew of young men who are clicking on all cylinders.

My American Legion guys fought until the very end but came up on the short end of a 7-6 score in the deciding game of our three game league championship series today. On to the regional tournament next weekend.

Armstrong Freshman @LiamAshbaugh got called up to play with the varsity team again today and caught two innings and even collected his first career varsity hit. All the lessons, practices, and lifting sessions were worth it today. Congrats bud, keep up the great work.

Liam was fortunate enough to be given some varsity reps as a Freshman yesterday against Penn Hills. The work he puts in the weight room and at catching clinics are paying off. Keep it up @LiamAshbaugh

Liam got to play against my long time colleague and friend Joe Burger who manages the Fox Chapel JV squad. This is pretty much the only time you would see me root against the Foxes. Great day for all three of us to share our love for the game.

Thanks to ⁦@WillBeckner6⁩ for taking the time to talk with Troy after Plum’s victory against Armstrong tonight. They train together at Coach Ron McNabb’s ⁦@PGHBballAcademy⁩ and he sets a great example for the younger kids how hard work pays off.
