We are not in the universe; we are an expression of it. Every atom of our body is a memory of a star’s fire. Every story we tell is a ripple in an ancient ocean of mind. The “selves” we defend so fiercely are a mask of the whole, a wave forgetting it is water.

Don't ever forget that the absence of recognition, is not a sign of inadequacy. Just a potential sign that you've spent time in the wrong sphere.

These past few years have been absolute hell in the game industry, man. Sad to see creative people who work hard on entertainment to lift people's spirits going through all of this. Especially as profits are rising in general. 😞
Studio GAINAX, known for influential anime series like Neon Genesis Evangelion, has shut down after 41 years as its bankruptcy is finalized

This sums up how many (if not most) companies work, not just with AI. As soon as there are KPI's and ROI's, or "performance measurements", people do what is essentially summarized here.
Last quarter I rolled out Microsoft Copilot to 4,000 employees. $30 per seat per month. $1.4 million annually. I called it "digital transformation." The board loved that phrase. They approved it in eleven minutes. No one asked what it would actually do. Including me. I

It's a bit scary how many messages I read everywhere are so obviously written by AI. I credit my human brain for having gone through evolution to learn to recognize patterns, because the style of AI is hard to mistake. All these voices are now replaced by machines.

"But isn't that what acting is?" someone might say. I suppose that's the textbook definition, yes. I just think that's "acting". Whereas in my opinion acting is about removing the self to a large extent, and becoming the role. Like Daniel Day Lewis, Gary Oldman, or Ed Norton.

Hot take: Most of the "actors" and "actresses" that people think are good or great, aren't. They're just incredibly charismatic people who, through a combination of PR, practice and great scripts have made a career of reading lines reliably on screen.

Tim Cain, Leonard Boyarsky, and Feargus Urquhart, Chris Avellone, and Josh Sawyer. If any combination of these people (or ... all of them) work on a title together, you best pay attention. Because they make narrative driven roleplaying games like magic.
Fallout creator Tim Cain has rejoined Xbox’s Obsidian Entertainment as a full-time employee. “I can’t talk about the project that I’m working on at Obsidian, just because that’s covered by NDA. Don’t bother guessing, you’re not going to guess right. I would probably say that I’m

... and before someone goes: "But they damage their brand!" I would say: Debatable. When it comes to game reviews, which are essentially opinion-pieces, people tend to forget very quickly and move on to the next thing that elicits reactions.
