Intended uses:. - Hw Design: Reduces guesswork a lot. - Digital Twin: Run sim before and during print. Optimize speed & quality. Prevent catastrophes. - Sw design: Enables fast & advanced fw development, including all the AI RL stuff. and much more. We'll use it for everything!.

The simulator project is called hp-sim5 and the source is here: It contains full parallell implementations in both js and python (yes, a completely crazy architecture to ensure flexibility and quality control).

All these past problems will be so much easier to avoid, mitigate, fix, understand with this tool! 🥳. Try it out yourself at: Click "Built-in G-code", then "Hangprinter_logo2.gcode".

The Hangprinter simulator is taking shape. Here we reproduce in 2d:. - Infills with wiggle/resonance patterns. - Ringing after sharp corners. - Also artifacts along smooth curves (where one line flips slack/loose). - Lost steps due to too sharp turn of corner (last secs of video)

You can grab and drag the balls. I made it to find edge cases in my cable simulation.

New Hangprinter Community Website at This is where the remaining "Keep Hangprinter Free" patent donations have been spent. I really hope it will provide value to the community when it comes to explaining and understanding the tech.

White spilling over the edge, running into the blue, can create pretty patterns. Right/left edges on this one are slightly folded upward, so the top is not level. Gives a sense of swimming or flapping big wings.

Porcelain/stoneware mix, minimally hand worked, thick walls. The outer glaze is called Resekatalogsblå, which means "travel catalogue blue" in Swedish. More on

I reduced the extrusion rate slowly until failure, and then stopped the print. Taught me that super thin porcelain can actually work, and that cups should have tapered wall thickness. Light, and easy to drink from. All my cups after this are tapered from bottom to top.

The second video above shows a dangling black hook, the weight alleviation hook. It's connected to the D-spools in the ceiling and the line runs parallel to the D-lines. Without it, the weight of the hose will tilt the effector.

Here's how I mount the @3dwasp extruder XL 3.0 to my Hangprinter effector (early prototype and current). Notice how the extruder is free to rotate around its length axis. This reduces the force transmission between tube and extruder, and improves print-speed and -quality a lot.
