3/3 There was only one talk at the event that discussed the inequity that comes with advances in AI. The speaker, Alexandra Ebert, discussed the direct correlation between advances in technology and the rise in happiness, GDP, lifespan, and democracy.

The reasoning is that the adoption of goal-based agents at scale will be slow due to a (human) lag in adoption, the (un)reliability of agentic systems, and biased benchmarking. If this piqued your interest like it did mine, read Arvind Narayanan’s paper “AI as Normal Technology”.

Most people anticipate a fundamental shift no more than a few months away, but a few are willing to bet it’ll take a decade. 10 years? I couldn’t believe it.

2/3 I was shocked to see some experts with different opinions on how revolutionary Agentic AI really is - specifically in the context of code generation.

There’s so much value in investing the time to gain real, foundational knowledge about how the technology works. It’s so fascinating. There’s still so much I don’t know, but it helps to start somewhere.

From building viral apps with AI, model evaluation, and LLM observability, to granular optimizations like entity-resolved knowledge graphs and MRL compression to build compact embedding models.

1/3 While the conference felt slightly out of date with little mention of MCP, A2A, and new-ish advances, there was a great breadth and depth of topics covered.
