970 lives again. Hard to beat local. Current owners dad bought it sometime in the 70s. He was the longtime clerk of my grandpa’s auctions.

The V8less 1468 looks a little better with two good 11.00-16 front wheels and tires on it. Going to have to paint the wheels red sometime. Next step is a full service and rip the cab off.

A little stripped up on a few fields from last night’s storm. Honestly the 1.5-2.5” of rain is going to help more than the hail hurt us.

Local buys make my life easy. Would be an absolute workout to run a W9 all day stacking loose hay. 1970 970 gear drive was even sold new in Norton just 15 minutes away. Motors are loose on both so will honestly probably try to make them run where they sit and drive them home.

Pretty good grabs today. Was able to make them all run. Had sat 10+ years in the NE Sandhills. 72 1468 w/o original DV550 V8, 71 1066 w/ truck front axle, and 76 1066 Black Stripe that’s for a lot of late variation parts that were used on 86 series. 1468 came home today. The
Empty trailer, buckets of oil, diesel, fresh batteries, lots of tools and an air compressor. Tomorrow should be a fun day bringing in some very special old iron.

Stripping this 1466 as I get time the last couple days. Pulled the hiniker cab off and realized that’s not a row crop or cabbed tractor platform. Would’ve originally been a 1466 Wheatland/Standard with round fenders. Other clues I should’ve noticed was the lack of three point,
