It was a privilege to participate. Surprising how a 100 yr old script about robotics can have underlying themes still relevant today. Themes of mechanization, employment in face of increasing autonomy and economic profits over humanity. Thank you Richard for organizing this.
The word “robot” first appeared 100 years ago in a play by Czech Karel Čapek. Tonight I had the honour of participating in a zoom performance of his play Rossums Universal Robots with some of the finest researchers in our field! @QUTRobotics @maththrills @feras_dayoub @dgdvision
