This mission back to Ukraine is going to be amazing. I will be focused on Agricultural demining which is not only important for the Ukrainian farmers and their way of life, but for those around the world that depends on Ukraines farming exports. Please check out the video for
I've been asked how we deal with the stress of demining. Well, through jokes and dark humor. Less stress the better in this job. Our mission is only possible through the amazing support from everyone so please continue spreading the word.
My heart breaks for the 3 deminers who lost their lives on Christmas, removing landmines in Kherson. This job is one of the most dangerous in Ukraine, removing landmines and explosive hazards so civilians don't have to live in fear of their next step. Pray for Ukraine, RIP Heros
Freezing rain, mud, and artillery, but it was all worthwhile today. In two days we were able to clear about 5.5 kilometers of road leading to a vital fuel transfer point. Now work crews can use this road to get gas pumping again. Mission success

It's always a good day if you remove some mines making civilian areas safer and come back with all your limbs. Thank you for everyone that is supporting me on this mission, another full day tomorrow and thank you
@jmvasquez1974
for all the support brother
Another good day of removing landmines from farm fields. Ill answer the dip question I've been asked so much and if you watch to the end you'll see why I do what I do. Please see the link if you'd like to support

People have ask me a lot lately where I learned demining. Well, I learned from the best. Taliban, ISIS, and Al-Qaeda are masters at using explosives to target, injure, and kill Americans. I spent 8 deployments finding and destroying IEDs. My school house was Afghanistan.
Today is three years since my book Tip of the Spear was released. In the book I dive into my military career, stepping on an IED in Afghanistan, mental health and having a higher purpose in life helping others. Check it out and let me know.
@bookthinkers
Great victory clearing this farmers field of mines so they can recover their tractor. It's little victories like this that build Hope, and I promise you, Hope is contagious, Hope is the beam of light in utter darkness, Hope will win the day.
The use of Cluster Munitions in Kherson is heartbreaking. These have wounded and kill more civilians then anything else here. Today we blew up as many as we could because they are to dangerous to move, until we ran out of demolition. Back at it tomorrow.
The Special Forces Regiment lost one of our own recently in Bakhmut. Nick Maimer
was a former 19th Group Green Beret and a personal friend who came over to Ukraine and lived our motto, To Free the Oppressed (De Oppresso Liber). As Green Berets we have a belief we are willing to
Ukraine Update. I'm in the final stages of packing and getting everything ready to head to Ukraine for anothe humanitarian landmine removal mission. Please continue to spread the word and follow along, lots of updates to come. Saving Limbs and Lives
Tip of the Spear Landmine Removal had another great day. Clearing landmines for farmers so they can start to piece their lives back together again is satisfaction on a whole other level. Three of us have cleared over 130 mines in two days. Not bad work
Made it to Krakow and all my bags, mine detectors and removal equipment showed up. Very surprised there were no issues there. Now it's time to get everything together and get back to work. Please continue to spread the word, lots of big things coming.
Removing Cluster Munitions today in Kherson Region the safest way we can, with C4. Staying focused is key because there are literally thousands of Clusters in our little village alone not to mention all of Ukraine. Very Heartbreaking.
My time in Kherson has come to an end. Posted is a video that highlights this mission with my brothers in DSNS. I will continue to share videos to raise awareness on our demining mission as Ukrainians can only start to rebuild once their areas are clear.
Today's mission in Eastern Ukraine means a lot to me. We are clearing farm land so farmers can cut their fields. Already one tractor hit a mine but we are doing our part to help save as many lives as we can. If you'd like to support please see the link
Very dangerous but extremely rewarding day. Myself,
@Doc_MikeOTW
and
@Wyrwal
were able to give a local farmer some hope that his farm has not been forgotten about. Searching for Anti Tank Mines we found ourselves surrounded by PFM-1 AP mines which we will help clear from his
Alive Day Post:
Early morning September 12th 2010 I found myself fighting for my life after stepping on a IED during a clearance operation in Uruzgan Province Afghanistan. Looking back now, I had no idea how much that traumatic incident was going to change my life for the
Happy New Years from Tip of the Spear Landmine Removal! Last year we got our start as an NGO saving limbs and lives in Ukraine, but 2023 is going to be even bigger! We will be making major moves this year, so stay tuned, spread the word, and get ready!
After a long 28 hours I finally made it to Florida on Christmas Eve. As we gather in the comfort of our homes for the Holidays, the suffering of so many in Ukraine, like my friend Natalie, will weigh heavy on my heart. I will continue to spread awareness.
Although we finished one field removing 304 mines, there are thousands across Ukraine like this one. The task to demine Ukraine is daunting but we take it one farm, one village and one field at a time spreading Hope as we go. On to the next field!
Huge announcement today! The hard work has paid off. Tip of the Spear Landmine Removal is now officially the FIRST Ukrainian demining organization owned and operated by Americans. This means we can now conduct demining operations alongside our Ukrainian partners, increasing the
Cleared a road today with DSNS so we can drive vehicles in and remove all of the Russian rockets and munitions caches from this little village outside Kherson city. Frozen ground is not easy to demine but we we accomplish the mission. Lots more to do!
Today was a smoker. The rain this morning, crazy humidity, chest to head high grass, sun and the relentless yellow Flys, we put in a hard day clearing landmines in Ukraine. Three of us hauled in 77 mines in very difficult terrain. Back at it tomorrow.
Another day and more ground cleared. Today's job was to clear the road up to and around a gas pipeline valve station. Next we cleared the vital electrical transfer points which crews need so they can restore electricity in the remote villages. Great day.
Lots of work and a total of 334 landmines removed but news of an American in the area is spreading fast, and for the safety and security of all its best if I head back to Kyiv for now. Thank you all for the support and please continue to spread the word
I've put my book on hold since starting my charity, but I it's time to give it a little love. My book gives the reader an in-depth look at my life, struggles of stepping on a landmine myself, and why I do what I do. Check it out and please spread the word.
As I sit here, drink a beer and look back on todays mission of removing Mines, all I can do is smile. We returned with all our limbs and we gave farmers hope. Hope that spreads rapidly. Hope that is contagious. Hope that cuts through darkness, hope that better days are coming
Although my two Ukrainian counterparts got called out on a mission, the show must go on! Hard work being a one man clearance team but thankfully medical evacuation crew was only one loud boom away🤣

Today was one of the more exciting days I've had demining with
@Doc_MikeOTW
. Got to see the true power of the OZM-72 from a safe distance when we
Today, I trained another DSNS team that is getting ready to start their demining mission out east. All my detectors and equipment have been donated over, so now it's time to return home, fundraise, buy more equipment and get ready for next Springs mission
State Emergency Services DSNS commander killed during clearence operations near Izyum. Serhiy lost his life Jan 4th due to the detonation of an unexploded ordnance. Serhiy died doing what many in DSNS risk their lives for. The removal of explosive hazards protecting the innocent
Took a day to recouped, warm shower, bed and a cold beer but back at it again removing landmines from farm fields. Thank you all for the donation they are helping in so many ways.

Update on April's Tip of the Spear Landmine Removal mission to Ukraine.
We are making great progress towards the goal of 50 CEIA Detectors for next mission. Currently we are at 28, so please continue to spread the word and stay tune, big stuff coming up.
Another full but fulfilling day with
@Doc_MikeOTW
out in the farm fields. Along with demining, we are collecting soil samples from blast sites to be sent to researchers for testing to see the longterm effects explosives have on the soil. This is important to see how it will
(Part 2-2) Today, we focused on UXO removal in the village Posad Pokrovske. Its heartbreaking going into people's homes and removing UXOs in a place where they made their lives, families, and memories. I keep thinking, what if this was my home? How would I feel?
From frozen ground yesterday to mud and rain but the show must go on. Great day clearing village roads outside Kherson city with
@whatislove_rv
and DSNS. Although I was covered in mud, putting in a good days work helping others is always worth it.
The last video Viktor sent me. His words will stay with me and be the driving force behind my mission;
Remember the field where you demine? Now there's a John Deere, another American working there. The people so happy — the people thank you brother for saving food and lives
Sappers friends in Kherson Region brining in 2023 with a bang. Teams busy destroying Cluster Munitions and UXOs making areas safe for civilians. Huge shoutout to Natalie for the continued updates. Pray for the teams as they continue this dangerous work
Today was proof why we do what we do. The farmer who ownes the land
@Doc_MikeOTW
and I are demining was able to drive a road with his tractor that he hasn't been on since the Russian occupation of his area. That was a huge boost in motivation for us and all the Western deminers
Ukraine lost a hero and many of us lost a brother. The world is a better place because of everything you did while you were with us. Thank God we dont have to say goodbye only see you later as we will all be together again, just not too soon, lots of work still to do brother.
Remote pull of an OZM-72 back in May. These bounding frag mines are nasty. Once the mine is activated, usually by tripwire, the main charge is launched about 2 feet in the air. Upon explosion, fragmentation will kill anything within 25 meters. Removing these from civilian areas
Part 3 of last mission in Posad Pokrovske. Ukrainians are refusing to lay down and become victims. Through all of the destruction they are cleaning up, rebuilding and taking their lives back. Our job is to clear explosive hazards so they can do this safety
Landmine clearence, mud and artillery strikes. Today's mission was to clear a main road which farmers need to access their crops. The day was cut short by artillery strikes too close for comfort. Pray for Ukraine and Kherson as we got pounded today.
Another great day helping the innocent civilians of Kherson not have to live in fear of their next step. In Special Forces we live by the motto De Oppresso Liber. Tomorrow back at it again. If you would like to support my mission please see the link below
Alive day! SEPT 12 2010 I stepped on my IED that almost took my life. Today I'm using that experience and pain to launch Tip of the Spear Landmine Removal Group. Thank you for all the support and please keep spreading the word. (Warning Graphic Content)
The game of hide and seek or cat and explosive mouse. Everyday is nerve wracking which is also why I dip🤣 I really want to thank everyone who has donated, your donations are going to a great cause. Please spread the word.

Removal of a TM-62P3 AT landmine. This plastic anti-tank mine has very little metal content, which makes it hard to find with our detectors and can easily be missed. These mines have killed a lot of people in Ukraine, but we are doing our little part to remove as many as we can,
While waiting to escort Nick back to his family I decided to head east to Kharkiv with
@SM_EOD
and
@MontyEOD2336
and do what I do best, remove landmines. The Ukrainian authorities are doing their part for the repatriation of Nick but it's not a quick process so I will continue
Nice haul for the day, not necessarily the amount I wanted but it's still saving lives one mine at a time and im a one man show right now. Thank you all for supporting me on this mission. Next step, my demining non-profit.

Yesterday I pushed my Tactical Soccer Mom Mini Van (TSMMV) to the limit but I made it to Krakow. After 16 hours and almost getting turned back because of my vans registration, I'm here. Now, to get home and start the real work of fundraising for equipment and next Springs mission
Although the weather didn't play nice today I had a great day demining with
@Doc_MikeOTW
at the new location we were working yesterday. There's so many explosive hazards here but it's a job that must be done so civilians don't have to live in fear of their next step. Thankfully
This was a small stockpile of UXOs and landmines we encountered at Chernobaivka Air Port and a tiny drop in the bucket compared to the landmine crisis in Kherson Region and Ukraine. This will take a lot of support and time.

Today's mission was a tough one. We were tasked to start clearence in the village of Posad Pokrovske. We only stopped work because we ran out of demolition to blow the clusters in place as they are to dangerous to move. So many left but we will not stop.
Another great day of training and I was able to hand off my last CEIA mine detector to a group that desperately needs it. This was all made possible because of your donations. Thank you and it's time to buy more CEIA mine detectors.
Made it to the home base here in Florida. I had a few days of rest, and now it's time to start preparing for September's demining mission to Ukraine. We are expanding, which will take all the support we can get, so please continue to spread the word!
Ukrainian farmers taking their lives back. This video made all the hard work and risk worth it! None of this could have been possible without the support and donations. Time to head home, fundraise and get ready to come back to remove more landmines.
Natalia and family cooking new years dinner in Kherson. She let me know they have so much to be grateful for. They are alive, have food and are continuing to rebuild. Her message gives me so much hope for 2023 and we can all take a little away from her strength. Happy New Years
People asked me how we handle the PFM-1 butterfly mines we recover. Well, if we can't burn the fields, we have to remove them by hand. It's slow, but it has to be done. September's demining mission to Ukraine is coming fast. Continue to spread the word
This was from a few days ago but due to the amount of questions regarding how we transport the landmines, here you go. Please continue to spread the word.
(Unit and individuals in video approved this content and social media release)
When it comes to demining, distance can be the difference between life and death. The Talon is a great tool allowing us to remotely look at a dangerous area or device. We have already donated one to Ukraine, and thanks to all your donations, we got another
Wanted to give an update on the fundraiser for Viktors family. GoFundMe has completed the funds transfer to my account which I can now get to Julia. Thank you for opening your hearts giving Julia and her son financial freedom while they grieve and piece their lives back together
Most of Ukraine is without electricity and it's bitter cold. This Thanksgiving I'm truly thankful that I've been able to witness strength and courage of a population. Regardless of how much Ukrainians have sacrificed, the drive to never quit and keep going is stronger then ever.
Landmine Removal Mission Update. I purchased a Talon 4 Tactical Robot which is critical in our safety when dealing with some of these nasty explosive devices that litter Ukraine. Please continue to spread the word these donations are saving limbs and lives
As a humanitarian landmine removal organization there's a lot more government approvals needed then I was aware of. Apparently you cannot just run around Ukraine and removal landmines without government oversight. Who knew??🤣
Video 4 Posad Pokrovske. Although my time in Kherson has come to an end, I will continue to post about our mission. Showing the world the sacrifices Ukrainians are making is critical for awareness and doing my part so their suffering is not forgotten.
Landmine removal rarely happens in the perfect environment. Demining in 5 feet of vegetation unfortunately is normal during the summertime in Ukraine. Regardless, the show must go on. Our mission is only possible through the support we receive so please continue spreading the
First two of us from Tip of the Spear Landmine Removal arrived in Poland today. We are waiting on the rest of the group then we'll move on to Ukraine later this week to start our mission. Still raising funds for operating costs so please continue to spread the word.
Quick question for my Twitter friends. I will be transporting over 10 x 50lbs bags of mine removal equipment via United Air this next week. it's 2,000$ in extra bag fees. Does anyone know of a humanitarian letter or something to where these major airlines waive the bag fees for
Finally made it to Houston, still one more flight to Florida but every time I fell asleep I'd hear these little rattle snakes come alive🤣 I hate this sound, but a lot more to come. Return landmine removal mission to Ukraine coming soon.
Video from a few days ago showing the Russian trenches and bunker system we were working in. Civilians are trying to access not only the farm fields but their forest and treelines again but due to the landmine and boobytrap situation in the treelines they cannot safely do it.
Last check of all our equipment before we head out to the mine fields. Huge shoutout to Blue Atlas for joining up with us on this demining mission. We have created a powerful team here to help millions around the world. If you'd like to support our mission please see the link

@TJK_EOD
with SOLI EOD who are making a major impact on the landmine crisis in Ukraine. We found multiple PMN anti personal mines along with some other explosive hazards. It's an honor working with these two

Back at the Russian fighting position today with
@Doc_MikeOTW

An elderly Ukrainian farmer walks up to the American volunteer, Ryan Hendrickson, to thank him for de-mining his farm from Russian anti-tank mines.
Ryan says that it’s for moments like this one that he is in Ukraine.

Our missions revolve around civilians and critical infrastructure and today was amazing. We cleared a fuel valve station along with power lines and an electrical transfer point to get power and fuel back to the ones suffering the most, civilians.

You can not disarm them. If we get the farmers' permission, we will burn the field. If we can't burn, then we remove one by one. Place them in a pit, then burn them at the end of the day, staying far away from the smoke.
Weather has been bad the last few days so we've been conducting Site Serveys to possibly expand the demining areas.
Videos are from yesterday but helps explain how we zero in on a minefield. It doesn't take long to locate areas that need to be demined and it's heartbreaking to
Click, Click, Boom the song by Saliva, I could not get that song out of my head today. Regardless, another day removing mines and helping farmers take back control of their lands. Thank you for all the support, you all driving this cause
The crisis in Ukraine is growing with every bit of territory taken back. This is from my last mission in Kherson and only a drop in the bucket compared to the amount of explosive hazards spread throughout the country.
April's mission is coming fast and
I've been asked how we know where to look for explosive hazards when we go to a village. Where do we start? Well, our information comes from brave villagers like my friend Natalie who stayed behind when so many others left so she could help. She is a Hero!
Want to send some awesome shoutouts today. Got in a donation from
