As longtime @thirdday fans, Tyler Edwards and I recorded a cover of ‘Slow Down.’ His drums and bass brought energy to support my vocals and guitar. Covering @MacPowell and Chris Daughtry vocals was a blast. Our version keeps spirit of the original while bringing our own style

Between Christmas gigs and taking time to give my brain a break, it's been a minute since I've worked on music, but in the last week, I've been working on finishing out several songs, including one with a potential guest vocalist. Super excited to release more music in '26

One thing I've been enjoying lately is the Mosfet setting on the Caline Crazy Cacti (Fulldrive 2), which can sound a lot like a cross between a Fuzz Face or Tone Bender, especially on the Vintage mode. A nice mid-range-y contrast to the more scoopy nature of an EHX Big Muff.

Every now and then, I remember that @onlythehost and I worked together on the song "Rick Grimes" and the heavy riffage makes me happy.

It's the best feeling. Also Brian is a legend, and you totally should be a fan of his music.

It's not too different from using a high-pass filter to hone the formant of a synth.

I think people discount how useful the tone knob can be to tame a bright guitar pickup. I tend to roll my guitars with brighter strat pickups back to around 7 and leave it there. Usually you can hear a point in the taper where the tone becomes muffled, and roll it back up by one

9) Current board (there's a video on my YouTube channel documenting it's current state and function.) This is when I switched from using my Blackstar amp to going ampless with the Zoom G1x Four, which has a fantastic model of a Matchless DC30 when I run into a Bogner cab model.

8) 2021 - Bought Caline Snake Bite Reverb pedal, and was running the delay and reverb through the effects loop on the Blackstar amp

7) 2021 - New reverb pedal, and a very short-lived layout that was replaced by the next photo.

6) 2019 - The rig I used the most with Solomon's Porch and at church during that time. New additions are the Donner Mod Square and Donner Echo Square

5) 2018 - Purchased the Crazy Cacti, which was a gamechanging overdrive pedal for me.

4) 2018 - Same layout as previous but added in Azor Fuzz pedal.

3) My first real pedalboard with most of the real estate taken up by the amp footswitches, powerstrip, and Kokko Compressor with a borrowed volume pedal on the side.

2) In 2017 when I first purchased the Blackstar ID:Core 100 and the footswitches that came with it. I was apparently measuring to purchase a pedal board.
