So according to the @WisBCA we should now post our stats and game results to 2 or more platforms from a list of 4. Really disappointing. This will make things more difficult for coaches and coverage for players will suffer. Make a decision, football did!!

BBall Insight Day 30: One of my favorite things. When drawing a charge, step into the path of the dribbler & get set with 2 feet on the floor while pausing your movement. Use their momentum and inability to change their path against them. Prepare for contact & draw the foul. EZ$

BBall Insight Day 29: If you are a coach you must realize the harsh reality that there will be some people who don't want you to be successful, because your success makes them look bad. #Facts

BBall Insight Day 28: Often wondered why teams press & trap full court for long stretches of games when they could trap after 1/2 court instead. After 1/2 court, the area they need to defend is condensed and the 1/2 court line adds an extra defender. Play smarter not harder.

BBall Insight Day 27: On a ball screen, if your defender looks at or leans towards the screen, reject it, the defender is worried about the screen not you. On D let the verbal communication of your teammates be your guide that a screen is coming, stay locked on the ball handler.

BBall Insight Day 26: When you are a coach time tends to move fast & seasons can pile up quickly. Hard to believe this was 20 yrs ago. Really enjoyed coaching this team, strong Sr. leadership & hungry overachieving underclassmen. Great memories of coaching in New Holstein.#Facts

BBall Insight Day 25: On D the sound of a dribble should be similar to hearing the sound of a burglar alarm going off. All 5 players need to be alert & in proper position. They need to be instantly ready to defend the ball & to help & recover. Quick reactions are a must. #Facts

🗣️ Jeff Peterson: "There is one person I want to shout out specifically, and that's Pat Connaughton. I'll be fully transparent with you guys. When we made the trade for Pat, I talked to him and I said, 'you're probably not making the team.'" "And I give him all the credit in the

BBall Insight Day 24: When playing 1v1 in practice, don't allow players to hold the ball & take their time & make a bunch of moves. Make it game like, give them 5 seconds maximum to score & limit their dribbles to 2 or 3. Allow 1 shot only or play to the finish. #DevelopSkills

BBall Insight Day 23: High level teams & players don't beat themselves. They do the ordinary, "boring" things consistently & better than others. They win because they don't have to think, they are fundamentally sound. They know what they are doing. #Facts

BBall Insight Day 22: The highest % shots in a game occur during the 1st seconds of a possession. Transition offense needs to be about getting a high % shot not a quick shot. To get a high % shot pass the ball up the floor quickly with an organized break. Teach it daily. #Facts

BBall Insight Day 21: On every possession there is a moment where a defense is compromised. It can be immediate or later. A mismatch, a missed assignment, a slow reaction, poor vision. No matter how good the D, there will always be that moment in time. Be alert & take advantage.

BBall Insight Day 20: FT shooting needs to be a part of every practice. Have players shoot them in low pressure & high pressure situations. Chart them, make a competition out of it. Good players & teams can get to the FT line, the best make them. #Facts

BBall Insight Day 19: A coach gets too much credit when a team wins & too much blame when they don't. A coach of a team who LOST 20 games in a season may have done a better job as a coach then the one who WON 20 games in that same season. #Reality

BBall Insight Day 18: As a coach/parent, when a game is done use the "stop sign rule". You are allowed to talk about the game until the 1st stop sign. After that only talk about it if they bring it up 1st. BTW the 1st stop sign is usually as you leave the parking lot. #ItWorks

BBall Insight Day 17: The most enjoyable & succesful teams I have been around have been made up of players who fall into two categories: 1. Great leaders 2. Great teammates There are no other categories.#Facts

BBall Insight Day 16: You can do 3 things on a catch; shoot, pass or dribble. They best can assess what to do quickly & appropriately before the catch. Training players to be ready & good decision makers on the catch is a skill that is undertaught & takes time to develop.
