Our education team visited Mill Creek Elementary this past week for a 2-day on-campus program with 65 5th graders. We discussed water ecology, the water cycle, fossils, geology, and introduced them to some local macroinvertebrates. Plus a visit from RISE Raptor Project!

It was cool to see a green heron at the school pond (north Alabama). That’s not something we see every day!

We’ve got a yard full of clover and a bunch of assorted flowers, yet this is the first one of these I’ve seen this year.
