F6F Hellcats returning from a hard days work to the USS Hancock (CV 19) on Jan 9th, 1945 after air strikes over Formosa in formidable weather. All they have to do now is land on that small dot moving around in water.🫡

Some interesting shots from November 1944 of "Snooper", a converted P-38 being used for photo recon in Charleroi, Belgium (according to shot card). That camera is almost as big as mine.🫡

How about some Marine UH-34D Helo action dropping off and picking up U.S. Marines in Jan/Feb 1966 taking part in Operation Double Eagle around the Quang Ngai province. The success of the 20 day operation was inconclusive with PAVN and VC largely slipping away.🫡

Some cool shots of Marine VMFA-115 "Silver Eagles" F-4 Phantoms punching the bucket getting fueled up over Vietnam by a Marine KC-130F on Nov 10th, 1965.🤘😎

An interesting look at Japanese G4M "Betty" Bombers arriving at Ie Shima on Aug. 19, '45 bringing a Japanese delegation of emissaries to discuss the terms of their surrender. The aircraft were painted white with green crosses as designated by the Allies. 😎

Some interesting test flight footage of the German Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet along with gun camera footage of U.S. aircraft shooting them and other German planes down during WW2. The background music is historically relevant as well, for the purist out there.🫡

Some cool footage of VMFA-323 "Death Rattlers" F-4's returning from bombing runs while assigned to Da Nang AB in Jan '66. I was told by a former marine pilot that their equipment was not in the best shape during this period. He also said he flew with a bottle of whisky.🤘😎

A shaky but cool look at T-Birds flying F-100D's out of Grissom AFB, in 1968. This was the last year they would fly the Super Sabre before switching to Phantoms.🤘😎

I'm kind of liking the b&w F-4. This is some footage onboard the USS Ranger (CVA-61) taken in Feb. '65 in the South China sea while it was launching strikes against North Vietnam. It's crazy to think that we have had the Phantom since before color film was popularized. 🤘😎

A pretty rough video but still an interesting look at the F-15 STOL with thrust vectoring and canards (👀 ). It was used to study the effects of thrust vectoring and enhanced maneuverability. Would have been cool to see in action.🤘😎

Here is interesting footage from June 1969 of a Russian Beriev B-12 Chayka amphibious flying boat making several low passes with bomb bay door open near the U.S. destroyer USS Norris; just being a nuisance. Kinda looks like a troll.👀

For those of you interested in how I am upscaling and restoring videos, well, I have a workflow that I go through using Davinci Resolve Studio, Topaz AI, and Shutter Encoder. I use Davinci to help with cutting, compositing rendered with original to mask out AI artifacts, and

Some badass footage of a Hellcat and Avenger conducting experiments using JATO aboard the USS Altamaha in March of 1944. And, yes, I do know that Black Sabbath was not a thing in 1944.🤘😎

Seems like I've seen this one before but no details in the archives other than it looks like a B-29 ditching on the coastline, guessing pacific. Previous shot showed some parachutes in the sky so some of the crew may have said aw hell no. So many hero's.🫡

WWII footage restorations off the USS Yorktown with a Hellcat coming in crippled, footage of deck action, and Gun camera strafing shots. I'm surprised at how well the strafing shots upscaled. Oh, if you know what aircraft is being started, let me know (helldiver/avenger?). 🫡

The Air Force media team is so back. Badass footage of a Hog exiting after refueling at dawn from just a couple of days ago over an undisclosed location. The boomer is loving it. Video by Staff Sgt. John Ennis 🫡
