It was our first Art lesson this afternoon!.We used a range of sketching techniques inspired by the illustrator Chris Riddell and different materials to create images of fruit and vegetables.

Thank you Year 6 for a lovely last day. I am so grateful for all of the lovely gifts and cards and have loved teaching you (and sharing you with Mrs Smith and Mrs Homer too!) for the last couple of years! Now time to relax and wait for this baby to arrive! Enjoy the summer ❤️.

You should have received an email with log on details for tomorrow’s assembly, as well as a paper copy of instructions with your child! We are trying our best to ensure that everything runs smoothly, but please bear with us! Fingers crossed it all works out in the morning!.

We're on our way home.A great day's been had by everyone!They've pushed themselves & encouraged each other every step of the way. We'lll be back a little later than expected (approx 3.30).We'll take the children into Y6 first to check for letters etc.What a great way to end Y6 😀.

Our Leavers’ festival is in full swing on the field. We are happy and hot!! Chippy arriving in half an hour 👍😝

It is going to be very hot tomorrow!! Year 6 will be enjoying their leavers’ event on the field after school, so please ensure that they bring sun cream, water bottles, caps etc! Just a reminder that Year 6 can wear their own clothes to school tomorrow. 👍.

Just a reminder that we are holding our school Sports Day tomorrow. Please send your child to school in their PE kit and ensure that they bring a water bottle (water only). We are looking forward to a morning down on the field in the sunshine 😊.

To finish off our Geography unit, we made our own volcanic eruption to help us to understand how lava can flow, based on it’s viscosity. We then independently researched the four main types of volcano and presented our findings as posters and leaflets. So much fun!! 👍

In Geography this week, Year 6 have enjoyed finding out how tectonic plates move beneath Earth’s crust and how this movement can cause an earthquake or volcanic eruption. We have also been researching the devastating effects of an earthquake.

Today, we have been learning about tectonic plates. We now know what they are and where to find them. The children’s books look beautiful and they have contributed lots of their knowledge to our Geography working wall.

Today, we used fruit to help us to identify the different layers of the earth. We now know that the 4 layers are the crust, the mantle, the outer core and the inner core and we found out some great facts and information about each layer.
