Recreating Tilmatli based on Mesoamerican Codex.

The brocade of Tlaloc is complete. To create the brocade, Dominga added two risers, where she arranged the threads in pairs. While weaving the canvas, she used these risers to introduce supplementary weft threads that formed the design.

Inspired by the design of Tlaloc from Stela l of Bonampak, we will attempt to brocade it onto the xiuhmaxtlatl. Here is a link to information of Stela I and reading of, “Sky Bands on Hems of Clothing of Women and of Men.” .
