People think I don’t understand withdrawal. The truth is my husband suffers from it and is hypersensitive so can’t tolerate it at all we’re on the same med and ran out this weekend with enough for one of us. He suffers hours after a missed dose so he got the meds. I understand.

Why is it that some people love catching others out? They really enjoy telling people how wrong they are. I hate that feeling I know being wrong can hurt sometimes, I don’t want to rub it in and make someone feel even worse. Even if I disagree with them.

…still know the difference between right and wrong and don’t act on those thoughts for the most part. I’ve nursed murderers who were severely unwell. Rarely are their crimes premeditated or involve coherent manifestos. So is SSRI encouraged violence an excuse? What do you think.

Another way to perpetuate the stigma that MH patients are drug addicts. As if we don’t have enough to deal with. Well cannabis may in a minority of cases cause psychosis/mania but the majority are like me - drug free. Nothing to do with our MI.

SSRI withdrawal and side effects are real. 100%. They don’t need to be exaggerated or called for being banned. Everyone knows they exist there’s leaflets in all boxes to learn about it. Depression also exists and can kill people. Respect both, allow people an informed decision.
