Session 1 of “Tuesday Talks With Tiff” was awesome! Teachers, Instructional Coaches and administrators from the Therrell, Mays and Washington clusters as well as Atlanta Global Innovative Academy came together to meet and learn and discuss best practices in SS

I enjoyed engaging with the students at BTWHS today as we discussed the legacies and the challenges of the first 5 US presidents. We made real world connections by “electing” our own leadership. We read and annotated vetted-standards-aligned resources. Student engagement was 💪🏽

It’s the first day of Junior Achievement for APS! The scholars at Jean Child’s Young Middle School were engaged and enjoying learning the importance of financial literacy as they completed their JA Financial Literacy simulations!

Thumbing Through the Data Thursday at King Middle School. I am so excited about the 8th grade data dig today. Teachers at King are using the data to help guide instruction. Students are taking responsibility of their learning and celebrating each others’ success! Kuddos!

This happened today! I stopped to drop off books to D.T. Howard M. S. and ended my visit engaging in rich conversations with 7th grade students about their next-level Social Studies Fair projects! Topics from the Berlin Conference to the Silk Road! H-5 DTHSS!
