We got the dungeon crawl, the gamblers den where even Su Shiyu plays along with Chu Mingyun’s game, the sister from another country and the Hunting grounds all in one. I really like how Su Shiyu goes from being described as cold to sparkling around Chu Mingyun.

Du Yue and Qin Zhao are iconic side characters. I really love how much it takes Qin Zhao to tell Du Yue he loves him. Chu Mingyun can mock it all he wants but he needs to learn he has just as many challenges when love is in the picture.

I love the book because it truly shows Su Shiyu’s emotions being such a quiet schemer. The fact that he smiles even when being bit by Chu Mingyun or pushing Chu Mingyun away is a key point to pay attention to.
