Everyone’s dragging her, but she’s actually 100% right. All this talk that Palestine needs to be decolonized? That’s just doublespeak for ethnic cleansing of Jews from the Mideast — just your run of the mill Holocaust.
Believe them when they say it.

If you follow the thread, a high % of those saying this have an oppression hierarchy worldview. Having that worldview inevitably leads to a corrupted moral compass, bc it's predicated on revenge to make up for past wrongs. Once one commits to that ideology, any low is possible.

I'm trying to make sense of it.
"It was a puppet show, a cliche, exactly what anyone would think whose shitty public education had taught him nothing, and whose malfeasant elite college had abhorred that vacuum with some second-hand post-colonialism."
"Every few years the usual suspects come out to lecture us about how wicked we are for wanting a civilized planet where the surly losers of love and war don't blow themselves up on city buses or parade naked rape victims through the street for their compatriots to spit on."
@thomaschattwill
One thing this has exposed is that for some scholars “decolonization” means syllabus engineering, and for others it means “any-means-justified bloodshed which I will cheer on from my home office.” Not the only camps within the discourse but currently these are loudest/stupidest.
@thomaschattwill
This feels like another Charlie Hebdo moment. I remember feeling completely stunned that people I deeply respected were suddenly rationalizing executions over a cartoon. Till this day, I still refuse to read Teju Cole.

Decolonization ... I've been thinking the same thing aboit this childish buzzword. What would be the implications if they applied it to European migration policy?
