I'm having a thought, what is 8 or 9 isnt a reference to her albums or the 1989... but what if it's the number of years she has been in the industry... if you count from when she signed with Big Machine, 2005, then 8 or 9 years would be 2013/2014... end of Red era, start of 1989.
thinking about how it’s easily factcheckable that she said she’s never broken a bone, therefore she’s hoping people will connect these “ages” to their albums. to me, the “cautious discretion” is hiding behind the ~fictional~ aspect of folkmore (but could also be 1989 for reasons)
