Resilient Leaders Consultant. Development and delivery of innovative training courses that are practical, purposeful and playful

Joined March 2011
An excellent couple of days back in Newcastle working with some genuinely lovely folks from @MosmedC. A thoughtful & engaging bunch of kettle bringers, bridge builders and speedy missing shape identifiers. The future is in good hands.

My favourite bit of redevelopment through the chaos of covid. Brought beautifully to life by @RoyleJoanna and the commitment, contributions and care of @composer_kev, @K_Jasionowska and all the other participants who shared their Thursday mornings with us for so many months.
I like designing courses. I also care a lot about values and pedagogy. Here is a reflective blog post about one I designed with @thinkinspire, and the knock-on course from @composer_kev.

What if you like variety? You can embrace immersive and fulfilling experiences and then move on. Ok can be cumulative
Have a small footprint, but stand tall. Most people try and do too much. Be amazing in one or two places. Max. But understand that you can pop your head up for a short period of time, but you can't stay there. That's ok. Do a few great things, not many things ok.

Really interesting thread. I wonder where Universities sit within this future. Possibly well placed to take the lead, and structurally vulnerable to getting left behind.
I've spoken to 2,000+ people about remote work in the last 12 months A few predictions of what is likely to emerge before 2030 [ a thread ] 💻🏠🌍

In-depth, important, and...really interesting. And a really interesting blog too. Resonates with much of what we've discussed over the last few weeks
After an in depth discussion about developing PGR communities at #FutureSpaces yesterday, it was great to see this blog post by Tom Rushbridge and @RoyleJoanna.

When you start small new growth can seem fragile. It's tempting to keep ploughing, keep planting. But the way forward is nurture, not scale. There's potential in those fresh, green shoots.

Love this. Being brave enough to be one of the few. (and some gems in Polish cinema, too!)
Outputs are directly related to inputs. If you go looking in the same place for inspiration as everybody else, you will find your work quickly resembles theirs. Go and see that odd Polish subtitled movie. Be one of the three in the audience.

What about the leader as a designer of spaces, a social architect that creates places (physical) and spaces? Not hard […]

Great blog. Thanks, Kelly. My inspiration is simply my belief that the future will be easier to navigate if we contribute to how it unfolds. If you want to help shape the researcher experience, come along.
Wondering what our new #FutureSpaces programme is all about? @Preece_Kelly has written a blog post about what inspired her and @thinkinspire to set it up, and the kinds of themes coming out of the first week.

I full support that idea that we don't need to be perfect, that we'll make mistakes, and when we do we should own them quickly and openly. It would be nice, though, if I didn't give myself quite so much practice at demonstrating this.
