Tomorrow is 8 years sober. I pick up my chip at the 6AM AA meeting. To be honest, recovery has been messy as balls......... but worth every damn day.

Great time at the @Capitals game with my two favorite teenage boys! Moments like this are why I recover and stay sober… because if I were still drinking, I’d probably be arguing with the ref, hugging strangers, and buying $400 worth of stadium nachos Oh and @ovi8 had 902!!

Here’s one of my favorite veterans, back when he was overseas working side-by-side with Iraqi and Kurdish teammates. Judging by the smiles (and the handshakes), I think they liked him. He jokes that he loved being stationed with people who were finally his height. Grateful for

I’m all for self deprecating humor in recovery! But behind the scenes? Always talk to yourself like you’re someone worth fight FOR, not against.

Someone recently asked me, "what is the meaning of life”? As if infinity could be summarized by a smelly creature that forgets where it left its phone. Forget not: “meaning” is a word humans made up so we could sleep at night. God and the universe move without needing our

I told myself I’d never buy one. Now I’m part of the solution… or the problem… depending on who you ask… what year it is… which state you’re in… which multiverse you accidentally teleported to… which timeline the TVA dropped you in… what podcast you listen to… whether

Sobriety didn’t make life easy. It just made me awake for the hard stuff. Recovery is confusing as balls, but at least now I’m conscious for the plot twists.
