As a part of the 50th anniversary celebration of Hip Hop culture, the UHHM, “The Official Record of Hip Hop,” commemorated the 40th anniversary of New Edition. The UHHM is honored to receive their 40th anniversary "Legacy" Tour jackets into the museum’s permanent collection.
Eric B and Rakim's landmark "Golden Era" album "Paid in Full," was released in 1987. Rakim's skillfully complex rhyme scheme is credited with challenging other rap artists in the recording industry to raise their lyrical creativity.
The Universal Hip Hop Museum will officially become "The Hip Hop Museum" today on Thursday, October 19th.
