Interesting way to use the movement!
Meet the moon-faced Venus! This is the first artistic interpretation of the signature indication and the first female silhouette on a dial within the iconic collection. The model, with its revolutionary design, is inspired by Sandro Botticelli’s painting The Birth of Venus.

I want to see more and more art inspired dials. I love them.
In their latest collaboration, IFL has teamed up with Bulova to create a Super Seville inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night. @arieltowatch went hands-on with the Post-Impressionist-inspired timepiece, now live on aBlogtoWatch. https://t.co/3UI2hr5QDj

Phenomenal stuff. no contact in the escapement!!!
The first piece in this new line marks the final chapter of the Breguet manufacture's 250th anniversary celebrations. But it is also, at the same time, the introductory chapter to its future. https://t.co/7j1LXIjx0M

This escapement is amazing. Everyone interested in mechanical watches should have a look.
@MontresBreguet caps its 250th anniversary with the Expérimentale 1, a wristwatch containing a tourbillon with a constant force magnetic escapement. #breguet

One of my grails. Had the chance to buy one during the pandemic for $22k. I didn't because I'm an idiot.
Finds. A ref. E168 Jaeger Lecoultre Geophysic is heading to auction. This was JLC’s scientist’s offering from the Cold War, or just after. Made to celebrate the advances of the Geophysical year, it it one of the best looking tool watches ever made alongside Patek’s Amag.

A very exciting dial at such an affordable price point. Well done Shami!
After 9 months production the Alex Palou carbon watches finally arrive next week Our cases normally fit a 0.2mm dial so we had to make new cases to fit the carbon ones that measure 0.64mm. Each dial has a flaw, this is dirt and oil from racetracks. I call it character #indycar

Correct, but it it's a clock or pocket watch it's gonna cost you a lot to keep it running.
As boomers die off, there is a massive bubble of antiques and collectibles that were highly sought, but that today nobody cares about. That means everything from Fenton Glass to clocks to writing desks, to fine China & silver are getting tossed cause no kids want them. Find them

In its nearly three centuries of history, Blancpain has yet to produce one complication: the grande sonnerie. That just changed. The new Blancpain Grande Double Sonnerie is the most complicated watch in the brand’s history, featuring 1,053 components in a predominantly handmade

No. You get the most status from wearing it and people seeing it in person. 90% of watch wearing like this is as a piece of jewellery, and AI doesn't replace jewellery.
i wonder if AI will crash luxury watch prices in the next ten years. a non-insignificant percentage of buyers are not interested in watches — they are interested in status. the watch is often a prop for online content. no point in buying watches when AI generates images for free

There are already many fantastic dealers in London. I love the optimism though. Lmk if you're ever in town, it'd be great to grab a coffee.
If it was just about making money and nothing else I would open a watch store in London The amount of old money there is second to none and if you have a way to bring the merch in (which I do) I would easily make 8 figures

As we’ve grown the number of customers served is now way over 20,000 globally One thing we’ve failed to keep up with is post sale customer service. That troubles me so much. So today we’ve employed someone whose sole job it is to keep an eye on that part of the business.
