I would have liked Michigan to have a chance at Matt Campbell though. I don’t see Lincoln Riley as a candidate as that style of system got Rich Rod ran out of town.

My Michigan wishlist: John Harbaugh, Jesse Minter, Kalen DeBoer, Jedd Fisch, Brian Kelly. I don’t think you could get Harbaugh, and Minter probably wants the NFL. I’d say 40% chance at DeBoer which leaves Fisch. I think Kelly could do it but I wouldn’t like rooting for him.
Before my time but when Michigan fired Gary Moeller for getting drunk at a restaurant it was seen as a dark day for the University. Rich Rod was hated in part because he didn’t fulfill Michigan’s values. Now this Sherrone Moore saga is a national embarrassment and scandal.

Toledo’s new coach was a Graduate Assistant at Eastern Michigan in 2002 and 2003.
Sources: Mercer’s Mike Jacobs is working toward a deal to become the next coach at Toledo. He’d replace Jason Candle, who left for UConn. The sides are expected to come together today. He brings an 80.3% winning percentage as a head coach, as he’s 94-23 with no losing seasons.
