Ultimately, as much as all the other FartCoin clones were asking us for endorsement as the TRUE fart coin we decided it was best for the community long term if we created the coin and controlled the ownership of it. Thus the new FartCoin has been created! 8/9

His voice when I told him what was going on was a masterpiece of confusion. "What's going on? FartCoin?! OMG! NO WAY!" We then spent the next hour or so trying to figure out our best plan of attack. It was a group effort creating the first FartCoin. 7/9

Then it was a flurry of trying to get into the accounts, the X account, the Bitcoin Talk account, the github, etc., just to prove I was the original dev and not some LARPer. Some of those accounts were controlled by my friend, Tech37 whom I had to call to tell him about this. 6/9

This morning I got a Telegram call from someone in the community trying to get a hold of the OG FartCoin poster on the forum. I didn't answer the call, but I saw his message as he woke me up from a dead sleep. My heart was LITERALLY pounding in my chest as I saw X. 5/9

Was I preparing for it to blow up? Not really, this was just one of dozens of Tech37's crazy ideas. We're in IT, and I'm a programmer. The failure of the first launch taught us a lot, and also what NOT to do when launching a new coin. 4/9

Then we had an attack on the network, someone out-mined us and literally took over more than 50% of the blocks, that meant transactions weren't going through and they even reversed previous blocks. It was a nightmare, we were under-prepared for this. 3/9

I was reluctant but I agreed. What could the harm be? We put it on a Monero base, so that way GPUs could mine it. I got another friend who is a graphic designer to make us a logo for it. I also learned a lot while tweaking the settings and getting the coin launched. 2/9
