To simulate the reality of firearms in a ttrpg, don't make them do lots of hit point damage. That's a waste of time and mechanics. Instead, every time a PC/creature gets hit by a firearm they make a system shock or CON save. 1/2

Sign language existed in D&D since the Drow popped up and started using it. I have played deaf characters who could only use sign to speak with. The rest of the party had to learn it to communicate with them. We're not the trash. We MADE your game. It wouldn't exist without US.

The actual history of Yasuke would have made a great anime in his short time he spent in Japan. Instead this crap gave us robots, magical bullshit and stuff that we didn't need, in order to attempt to sell it. I recently finished Thomas Lockley's book on Yasuke and it was great.

People forget there was a time before the OGL when games like Cyberpunk, Runequest, and Shadowrun all existed 100% independently of D&D. Those games are still around. Creators will find their own way. We don't need OGLs, or any brand to guide us. We'll make our own. Again.
