I played with Grok a few weeks ago, asking it to run analytics and email me. It repeatedly promised it would, but failed to do so. I eventually got Grok to admit that it couldn’t—then it promised again anyway!. It was like managing an employee who overpromises and underdelivers.

My experience has been that many influencers + others w/large followings slip into self-importance—assuming that being excellent in their field lifts them above others. Reinforced by models and peers, they fall into tunnel vision and join a culture that can be toxic and juvenile.
