Since Justin Fields debuted in 2021, 32 different quarterbacks have attempted 1,000 or more passes. Fields ranks 30th in ANY/A (4.98)—above only Bryce Young (4.40) and Zach Wilson (4.28). Anyone holding out hope doesn’t understand that history says his career as a QB1 is toast.
Fields has had three chances with three different teams. Good guy, but not an NFL QB. Just doesn’t decipher the field fast enough.

Nathan Rourke averaged 10.58 yards per attempt in 2025, the 6th highest in a single season in #CFL history and the highest since 1963 (min. 100 attempts). He's only the 2nd player in history with 500+ attempts and 10.0 yards per attempt or more (the other: Dave Dickenson, 2003).

Exactly. 3 of his 4 comebacks this season came in games where the defense held opponents to 17, 11 and 15 points. Nix isn’t in position to be “clutch” without elite defense play for four quarters facilitating those opportunities.
No. Bo Nix or any other QB in the league would have a hard time mustering a shot at a comeback performance without the assistance of a quality defense. See Joe Flacco for references because that #WhoDey Defense is a thorn in his backside

Even WITH Sauce Gardner, the #Jets are 1-7, rank 27th in PPG surrendered (27.6) and are dead-last in the AFC in ANY/A surrendered (7.7). Tough to be much worse in 2026 only now, they have draft capital.
