If in one year's time I haven't become profitable I'll QUIT TRADING and move on I've been trading for almost 4 years but I'm not yet CONSISTENTLY PROFITABLE. It's seriously discouraging, I know the problem and now I'm going to deal with it Follow to see my journey

Someone out there will tell you that breakeven is a scam. Just because it doesn't work for you doesn't mean it's a scamšŸ˜‚ I'm not throwing shades at anyone BUT know your model and know what works for you so you don't take unnecessary losses #CLTr

BREAKEVEN ISN'T FOR EVERYONE'S TRADING MODEL!!! Yes, I do breakeven my trades. It's saved me from a lot of unwarranted losses but that won't be the same for others. How exactly do I use breakeven to make my trading a bit better? Let's dive into that 🧵 1/11

Don’t overdo backtesting. It won’t fix every mistake in your trading. Too many traders convince themselves that more backtesting will magically solve their problems, but that’s just a form of self-gaslighting. Backtesting helps you understand your system, yes, but it won’t fix

The LFM Model (Liquidity Flow Model) A simple approach built around how price actually moves from liquidity to liquidity. The truth is the market doesn’t move because of lines or indicators. It moves to collect liquidity and rebalance price. That’s not theory that’s fact. Now

as a business be against breaking even? If breaking even is not helping your profitability then REMOVE IT FROM YOUR TRADE PLAN IMMEDIATELY but if you can enter the market and know with certainty that most of the time price shouldn't come back to your entry then breakeven 11/11

One thing you need to understand as a trader is that nothing in this game is a "one-size fits all" kind of thing. Learn what works for you and stick to it and you'll be profitable Breaking even isn't a bad thing for a business so why should you, who takes trading... 10/11

act as opposition to the trade returning to your entry and if these levels fail then the entire trade might be at risk of being a complete loss My personal trading model uses the fixed return criteria. I only breakeven at 2R and it's saved me from losses a few times 9/11

3. DETERMINE YOUR B.E CRITERIA There are 2 ways that I've found are good for determining whether or not to breakeven. You need to backtest them and see for yourself which works for you: 1. Fixed Return: This criteria has you move to B.E when your trade is floating a... 7/11

need to use breakeven, just give price the space to do what it wants before getting to your TP. Your main job when you're in a trade is to preserve capital and breaking even is a good way to do that and prevent unnecessary losses. 6/11

I do want to caveat this and also add that the only time you should consider breaking even is IF PRICE HAS A TENDENCY TO GET TO YOUR STOP LOSS AFTER MOVING IN YOUR DIRECTION FOR A WHILE If price just comes back to entry but doesn't hit your stop loss then there's no... 5/11
