So this thing was moderately successful, but because there is not a lot more traveling / venturing in the near future, I am going to take a different approach. Some other issues, - daily updates were hard to manage - videos went overtime - no referenceability - 280 char limit

To be fair, scope was quite fluid until now-ish. So, next batch of updates (say 3-4 hours from now), I shall write about the app and also link to it so ~15 of the viewers can use it :p

Maybe make some money while you’re at it. And no, I’m not doing DeFi lol. Crypto is way more than DeFi and I will die on that hill.

@flow_blockchain @LayerZero_Core @base @privy_io @buildonbase @CoinbaseDev For a true web2 experience, the user should not really know how the [program]magic is happening, just that it is happening. @privy_io is great for that. @CoinbaseDev is also amazing. From on-ramps to smart wallets to paymasters to indexing to x402. No web3 required for the user!

@flow_blockchain @LayerZero_Core @base @privy_io Now, why @buildonbase? As much as I hate to say it, @CoinbaseDev is quite fucking good. I started with an intention of minimal @base integration but before I realized it, I’m using almost all the products that CDP has to offer! Kinda feels like 🍏 tbh lol. Still, great for hacks!

@flow_blockchain @LayerZero_Core @base @privy_io Now it’s a simple one way communication and only 4-5 different message types (as compared to 12+!) and a much cleaner “flow”. Gas sponsorship is also easier since @flow_blockchain is so cheap and they also give out some mainnet tokens over the hackathon =D

@flow_blockchain @LayerZero_Core @base @privy_io Earlier, with the constant messaging between @base and @flow_blockchain, I was just drowning in docs for @LayerZero_Core (and pestering the dev rels 😅), fucked with gas considerations, and unnecessarily over engineering. Being a decentralization maxi is not an easy job 😹

@flow_blockchain @LayerZero_Core @base @privy_io So, the plan is, in-app actions call my backend, which trigger cadence txns, and when appropriate, bubble data up to the EVM. From there, messages are passed to @base via @LayerZero_Core, which reduces contract count to one admin on the EVM. Way simpler. Very web2. Still web3.
