This was relevant as recently as 2020 lmao. People were acting like the US right wing was dead forever, writing entire thinkpieces on how the Republican Party could possibly survive now that democrats beat the only thing they had (Trump). People have bug memories.
It's funny rereading the intro to Before the Storm where everyone was like "yup the right wing is dead forever, thirty years of liberal domination" and then Republicans proceeded to go insane mode for the foreseeable future. I wonder if this has any relevance to now.

This also comes back to a point I like to make about being careful about what you get mad about online. Some of what drove maga into its current frenzied madness is them taking satire from their own guys seriously (ex: litter boxes in classrooms.) Do not become them.
