The best cold emails I've sent didn't mention my portfolio once. They opened with "your contact form is broken" or "your site takes 8 seconds to load." Prospects don't care what you've built. They care what's costing them money right now.

Freelance tip that took me too long to learn: Don't compete on price or portfolio. Compete on research. 10 mins checking if their site is slow, broken, or outdated = you know more about their problem than they do. That's the pitch.

Stop saying "I can build you a better website" - you're competing with 50 other devs. Find sites that are broken instead. Slow loads, dead links, old themes. You're not selling anymore. You're solving a problem they already have.

Built something for devs who are tired of cold outreach. https://t.co/jXK9llr0XM finds businesses with outdated websites - shows their tech stack, performance scores, and what's actually broken. So you know who needs help before you send the first email. Appreciate any feedback.

Stop pitching "I can build you a website." Start pitching "Your site takes 6 seconds to load and you're losing 40% of visitors before they see your prices." One is noise. The other is a problem they didn't know they had. https://t.co/jXK9llr0XM

Webdev cold email secret nobody talks about: A business running jQuery, no SSL, and a 4 second load time is a better lead than a business with a clean modern site. The first one knows something is wrong. They just don't know how to fix it. Your job is to show up with the answer.

Most agencies cold email businesses that redesigned their site 6 months ago. I built a tool that shows you who's still running outdated websites and is ready to pay for a new one. https://t.co/jXK9llr0XM

Shipped https://t.co/jXK9llr0XM Got tired of cold emailing businesses that didn't actually need webdev work. Built a tool that finds sites with outdated tech stacks so you know exactly what to pitch before reaching out. Early users already closing deals. Still feels unreal.
