Sadly, developers have gotten a permit to build a factory that will run 24 hours a day. This will lead to relentless noise pollution and the dust of the toxic waste produced will permeate Poreta and the historic olive grovesThe livelihoods of the residents of Poreta are at risk.

Here’s your chance to give a medieval Italian village a voice… On a hill in central Italy is a beautifully sleepy medieval village. It’s residents run small B&B’s and are generational caretakers for ancient olive trees. This beautiful hill town was a finalist for a UNESCO site.
