I hate to share this, but getting more organized actually does help you feel less overwhelmed, especially as a creative. Order and structure helps tremendously. So sorry to my fellow “go with the flow” brethren. Get a planner. I love you.
And use your damn calendar. Color code your emails and tabs on your browsers. Make them folders in Google drive. Hold meetings on real meeting platforms, not just FaceTime. Dare I say it, take notes on those calls. Schedule email responses. Start thinking about Q1. It works 😭

I hated to read you sharing this, lol.
I’ve always used one but I went about implementing it like “if the child falls, don’t acknowledge it w/ overreaction” method lol so I’ve not fully told myself I’m using it, for fear that if I notice me doing it: ima cry then dread it 🤦🏾♀️🥴😂

the trick is to plan just enough that you feel in control of your schedule, life + money. spontaneity (with friends, leisure, art) is still essential to creatives.

If only I didn't live with other people who undo everything I organize. The only thing that stays organized is my planner and calendar but dealing with others quickly pushes shit back, reschedules and cancels.

It's the "go with the flow brethren" for me 😅
Truthfully organization and structure helps tremendously and also creates stability.
