I was trying to explain Trinity to my guys one time and after saying everything in my head they pointed out that I was actually saying heresy. Thank God for the Nicene Creed. If you are going to be a preacher at all, you need to be familiar with church history!

I don’t really understand what is going on here. Did he say Church history isn’t useful? Did he discourage the study of church history? The summary of what he’s say is—these things are good but not compulsory, thus it isn’t right to turn it to a burden everyone must carry. Yh?
Don’t put any burden on God’s children that God has not put on them. And don’t collect any yoke that Jesus has not given to you. Serve the Lord with all your heart and love him with your whole heart. Don’t bother about anything else. Until relatively recently, church history
