I won Gold in my second competition this year. This one was at the ADCC Niagra Open. I competed as a purple belt in the +30 years old division despite being 46 years old. Thanks to everyone who showed so much love.

In memory of Guru Tegh Bahadur’s sacrifice or Shaheedi which Sikhs remember this week. He gave his life to defend the religious freedom of all people. His sacrifice teaches us about seeing the oneness in all people, radical empathy and defending the rights of all people.

Workers had to fight for every right they have today. Unions led those battles and won those victories often at great cost. Today we remember the power of labour, of working people, uniting to fight for the respect and dignity they rightfully deserve. Happy Labour Day ✊🏽
