@BDisgusting
🙏🏾 I love all this support from the horror community today!
I have a podcast called Knight Light: A Horror Movie Podcast. I put everything I got into this show and I would love for people to give it a listen!
Y’all remember that woman who’s family tragically died, and while grieving she decided to go with her boyfriend on a trip to Sweden to save her failing relationship just to have him and his friends brutally murdered by a death cult?
My favorite thing on TikTok right now is people finding out about Aster’s 2011 short film THE STRANGE THINGS ABOUT THE JOHNSONS 😅
If you know, you know 👀
Damn near the only review that matters about KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON is from Christopher Cote. For context, he was the language consultant for the Osage for the film.
Stop gatekeeping horror, please...
Horror is subjective. What scares you, may not scare the next person. It's not fair to claim that someone isn't a "horror fan" because they were too afraid to finish a film that you don't deem scary.
Don't be this dude.
UNFRIENDED should be held in the same regard as THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT in crafting the foundation for a new sub-genre in horror!
We got things like HOST because this was the mainstream intro to Screenlife Horror. Others have come before it, but I wouldn't consider it mainstream
A reminder that SCREAM 2022 had ALL not one, not two, FUCKING ALL their POCs survive a horror film. That alone deserves merit and rattles horror history!
I genuinely do not understand what people wanted TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (2022) to be?
I’m not here to argue, I just want to understand what people wanted from this installment.
Happy Black History Month, y'all! Watch some Black-led horror films to celebrate Black History in Horror! Here are some favorites of mine:
• GANJA & HESS
• BLACULA
• SUGAR HILL
• DEMON KNIGHT
• EVE'S BAYOU
• TALES FROM THE HOOD
• HORROR NOIRE
• PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS
Black History in Horror - Day 21
US
Literally following a whole Black family having to survive a night in a slasher flick. Absolutely unheard of, yet Jordan Peele brought this to life for us. Taking every Black trope in horror and throwing violently out of the window. Love ✊🏾
BONES deserved so much more love...
A true iconic Blaxploitation Horror that didn't shy away from being creative and having fun with the assignment. Plus, Jimmy Bones still is one of the illest villains.
"This is the story of Jimmy Bones Black as night and hard as stone."
I had a chance to sit with my
#ScreamVI
thoughts and THIS is the SCREAM movie they always wanted to make, & I’m 100% for it! It's an absolute slash fest that have you fall in love with this new generation of this franchise!
Do yourself a favor & run to see it next weekend!
Hearing the news about Lance Riddick's passing is absolutely heartbreaking! What an outstanding actor that never received much credit for his performances.
Are 2000s horror as bad as we said they were?
Because some of my favorite horror films come from the 2000s! (Maybe I just have bad taste?)
Anyway, here are some of my favorites with a below 40% rating. I know I’m not the only one, but please send love for 2000s horror!
While Film Twitter is arguing over THE BATMAN and NO WAY HOME, Horror Twitter is still gushing over all the horror films we got over the past weekend 🤷🏾♂️
I really hate the comments on IGN posts:
"GoRe DOesN't MeAN sCArY!"
Say what you want, Wan is a fucking visionary in the genre. This is someone who singlehandedly made not 1, not 2, but 3 fucking franchises in the horror genre!
Show him some respect.
Goddammit! Mike Flanagan seriously just has his own fucking universe hiding in his work, doesn't he?! How did I never notice that the mirror in the psychiatrist's office in ABSENTIA is the same evil mirror in OCULUS?!
Lord, have all the mercy!

There is nothing wrong with liking or fixating on true crime. There’s obviously a huge market for it.
But glorifying real life villains will forever be some of the grossest things on this planet.
this is why internet true crime people scare the shit out of me.
making serial killer merch and babygirlifying charles manson like that’s sick and twisted.
pennywise and ghostface and michael myers are RIGHT THERE and yet people still feel the need to stan real monsters.
Here's a Christmas horror movie that we nearly do not talk about enough...
P2!
I rarely see or hear this get brought up in the conversation of Christmas horror/thriller films. I believe this film truly brought a lot of life to the late-2000s of the genre.
Every time I think of my favorite horror films, I always go back to the ones that a lot of folks don’t chat about often.
Anyway, shoutout to deep cut horror!
This is just a friendly reminder that horror is for all and shouldn't be gatekept. It is more fun when others get to watch the films in our spooky little corner.
I'm just convinced that The Oscars just doesn't like film in general...
When THE HOUSE OF GUCCI is nominated for best makeup but THE GREEN KNIGHT isn't nominated for a single category? Make it make sense.
I saw a tweet about someone mentioning that FINAL DESTINATION should be remade about a pirate crew from the 17th century. Now, I cannot get this out of my head, and it belongs in your head too!
Can we get a thread of Black hosted podcasts in Horror or all-around spooky shit?
I want to subscribe and have others subscribe too!
I'll start - Knight Light: A Horror Movie Podcast (
@KnightLight_Pod
)!
Look, I know that
@deadmeatjames
&
@carebecc
are both my buds, but this was still a dream come true for me!
Thank you so much for the experience - I will never forget the 1st time I heard of Dead Meat and that being one of the catalysts in the creation of
@KnightLight_Pod
🖤!
Do you ever just think about how magnificently beautiful David Buckner's THE RITUAL actually is? For me, this is probably one of the best modern creature features. I think about it often.
Fuck, horror fans just hate horror, huh?
Showing my excitement for SCREAM (2022) getting a sequel just to get a wave of folks who really don't want this. Well, guess what? DON'T FUCKING WATCH IT! Damn. Don't be up in my mentions with your hatred for it.
I JUST INTERVIEWED MIKE FUCKING FLANAGAN FOR
@KnightLight_Pod
!!!!
Seriously, thank you,
@flanaganfilm
, for coming out and sharing your love of horror with me. It was awesome to chat with you!
I fucking love horror movies y’all.
And I am thinking very much about James Wan’s DEAD SILENCE.
How does it go? “Beware the stare of Mary Shaw, she had no children, only dolls. If you see her in dreams, make sure you never scream…or she’ll rip your tongue out at the seam.”
Okay, so can we talk about how August is gonna be nuts for horror?!

September is going to continue being amazing for horror fans! Let's celebrate!
As a society, we do not talk about CASPER enough. And that needs to 100% change...
I am gonna say it, this movie should always be in conversation with HOCUS POCUS, NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, etc. when it comes to child-friendly horror!
You know Jordan Peele is a fucking master of his craft when the whole WORLD sees the
#NOPEMOVIE
trailer as an entire event!
Got my 85 year old grandma excited and shit!
And the cat is officially out of the bag! Knight Light: A Horror Movie Podcast is officially part of the
@BDisgusting
Podcast Network! We are very excited to be on this journey with a fantastic network. A full statement will be released from me later today!
