I feel like some of it can come from the fact that Mega Man wasn’t really advertised much overseas like how it is in Japan Japan had not just magazines but full on animated commercials for the games to let you know they’re out or coming We never really got that in America
I can’t get over learning that it took until Mega Man 11 for a Mega Man game to sell more copies than DMC2.
