I think we should just adopt "Trust Us as a Service" instead of the .*aaS namespace, especially when it is something offering "Zero Trust" and usually running in yet another 3rd party cloud. Beside, nothing bad ever happens with supply chains!.

to recreate the file. This is kind of an anti-forensics idea, but the application is for things like root private keys you have to use temporarily on a mac, I would want to ensure there is zero way to recover it if a threat actor wanted it and had access to the Mac.

My complicated version is using Disk Utility to create an encrypted APFS partition, downloading and saving the file there, then after deleting it, removing the partition. Losing the decryption key for the virtual volume should make it so there's no possibility of carving 1/.

Question for the hive mind: Do you know of a method to securely wipe a file on APFS+SSD? I have a complicated method that I think works (a thread) but I'm curious if there's a simpler one.
