Hiring a Senior Developer Advocate for Agentic Postgres at @TigerDatabase. This isn't a "learn about AI tools" role. This is for people who already live in Claude Code/Cursor/Windsurf daily. Here's what makes this different: 🧵

Amazing to see the interest in pg_textsearch following the OSS announcement this week. We're excited about the next round of optimizations coming in ~January, focused on block-based optimization and compression to reduce both query time and space complexity. Details are in the

If "agents are the new developers" feels real to you and you want to help define what database infrastructure for them looks like, DM me or check the JD: https://t.co/HdEXjldVxa

What I'm looking for: - You USE Claude Code/Cursor/similar today in your workflow - You can explain MCP (or at least how agents connect to systems) - You ship fast and scrappy - You've built community from zero before 📍 Bay Area. You'll be at meetups all the time.

You'll work directly with our CEO on strategy. Not "you get a quarterly update" but "you're in the room influencing where the company goes." This is a company-defining role for someone who wants real impact.

So... Postgres is now basically a search engine? pg_textsearch was just open sourced. It enables BM25 to search your database.... massive upgrade for key word search. Google uses BM25 in their search engine. Claude told me: "if you're already on Postgres, you can now skip

We just open-sourced pg_textsearch (permissive Postgres license). It's our Postgres extension that brings true BM25 ranking directly into Postgres. If you care about fast, relevance-ranked keyword search without leaving Postgres -- or hybrid retrieval by combining pg_textsearch

We just shipped a new MCP server in @TigerDatabase CLI. 5 features you're probably not using: 1. Let your AI manage your DB 2. Zero-copy DB forks 3. Postgres docs search built in 4. Skills teaching AI Postgres best practices 5. Run SQL through your AI https://t.co/tRKVsdsDfu

Why can't agents find the right docs, and how does Postgres fix it? This was the topic of the latest talk by @TigerDatabase (creators of @TimescaleDB )'s own DevRel 🤖 @jjacky at AI Dev 25 x NYC, where he showcases why AI agents struggle to find the correct documentation and how

I've been thinking a lot about MCP lately. At its core, MCP turns tools into design affordances for agents: primitives that shape what an agent can perceive, decide, and do. And it's only a year old. We’ve barely started exploring the space. Right now most MCP tools are simple
