Huge thanks to @KnowsleyHall for making the 11th annual Dean Trust #ActiveChallenge unforgettable! Hundreds of pupils from across our 11 schools enjoyed perfect sunny weather as they tackled 2k and 4k runs across the stunning estate grounds. #GoodNewsFriday

Selected pupils from across the Trust participated in a leadership conference at UA92, where guest speakers shared stories about their paths to becoming successful leaders and the challenges they’ve had to overcome. It was an truly inspiring experience the pupils.

Yesterday’s annual Dean Trust Games at Trafford Athletic Club was a huge success despite the wet start! Pupils from across the Trust competed in track and field events, showing incredible determination and sportsmanship throughout the day. Well done to everyone involved. 🥇🥈🥉

We've had an amazing Careers Week @DTForestGate! We had visits from inspiring professionals such as website designers, farmers, AI creators, MUFC Foundation and many more. Children took part in workshops and had a great time. Thanks to all visitors for making it unforgettable.

Huge Congratulations to @DTPartington's Poyraz and Eden on passing their Taekwondo gradings and earning their yellow belts! Poyraz proudly brought his certificate to school to show friends and teachers. Eden trained hard for 12 weeks and passed her first grading, well done! #GNF

Year 4 children @Dt_Blacklowbrow had an incredible time at Bispham Hall, taking part in archery, bush craft, axe throwing, grass sledging, frisbee golf, orienteering, country walks and campfires. Great memories made for all. #GoodNewsFriday

Hospitality and Catering pupils @DeanTrustWigan took on the Tunnock Tea Cake Challenge! They designed creative dishes thinking about patterns, shapes and presentation using a tea cake as the star ingredient. Prizes are up for grabs, with winners announced after half term. #GNF

Yr5 @Abraham_Moss children enjoyed a space and sun themed workshop with Prof Helen Mason and artists Geraldine Cox and Clare Dudeney @CominoNWCC. Combining science and art, they created beautiful stained-glass style sun pieces for the classroom windows! #GNF

Ikrah @DT_Ardwick shined at the ETU President’s Cup in Bulgaria, winning her first International Gold after 4 tough fights! Though she narrowly missed World Championships qualification, she has now secured her spot at the Cadet European Championships representing Team GB! #GNF

In November, we sadly lost our dear colleague Ms Wilson, who served nearly 25 years @DTForestGate. To honour her birthday, the school community wore green and enjoyed gardening, one of her favourite hobbies. We’re proud to have raised over £400 for St Ann’s Hospice -Thank you all
