@rycamor @vermaden I understand that. But that's a project that if it dies tomorrow, there's no impact in the industry we live in. Even TrueOS has a Linux distro with ZFS that can do more than its BSD version. I'm not saying this lightly. It's actually sad since I was a FreeBSD user since 2.2.5 and

@KevinNaughtonJr Commits are a bad metric, this looks cool and all and can be a general hint at activity BUT has no real indication of a programmers ability. E.g. git commit -m “fuck, undo last change, broke prod”

For bluetooth audio (Music/online meetings) I use: https://t.co/C9i7unYHo8 It supports aptx/aptx-adaptive and sbc. It automatically switches between the modes depending on one is in meeting. It shows up as USB audio device on @freebsd and supports up to 96kHz/24-bit. #HiRes

My @freebsd desktop. I had two gripes when I shifted to FreeBSD. 1. Bluetooth 2. Wifi. Both of them are solved. For Wifi, I use wifibox which gives me amazing throughput. [bottom right window]. About bluetooth, I will post next.

"FreeBSD 14.2 will now include more WiFi firmware on its CD disc-1 and DVD images to allow for wireless networking to be working out-of-the-box on more systems on initial boot." #FreeBSD https://t.co/F9dW9xtd1U

Ahead of FreeBSD 14.2 hopefully releasing in just over one week, FreeBSD 14.2-RC1 is out this weekend as the last planned development release for testing ahead of that much anticipated point release.

If we don't keep raising awareness of low-level programming skills, the skillset will disppear forever under a sea of SDKs, binary blobs and proprietary chips. C programming matters, assembly language matters.
