The festival may be over, but the birds sure aren’t! Just had a MISSISSIPPI KITE soaring northeast of the Girdham/Reed Road intersection at Oak Openings, continuing north. Keep an eye out if you’re in the area. - Nate Koszycki

If you haven’t seen a Bonaparte’s Gull yet, there’s over 100 of them at the beach at Maumee Bay SP! There’s also a turnstone on the inland beach.

Eastern Screech-Owl just a few feet off the ground next to the beginning of the west entrance of the Magee Marsh boardwalk. Listen for the robin alarm calls. - Patrick Maurice

Black-billed Cuckoo just popped back out in the same spot. Canada Warbler, Redstart, Yellow-rumped and Palm Warblers a little further down the dike just before the phragmites.

There’s a Black-bellied Plover in the field behind Barnside Creamery. There’s a second plover that’s likely another BB, but in a different plumage and I’m trying to rule out golden plover.
